My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Star came to us along with her litter of pups from an old man's house where she got very little attention much less food. He said she was a stray but was not able to care for her properly, thus a litter of unwanted pups! A pizza delivery guy alerted us to her plight and we came to help. She is very enthusiastic and active and loves to run! After she came to the rescue, she lived with Luke a 5 months old pup for a while and they loved to run and play. He has now been adopted. She is a great size- about 45 lbs and could be a great running partner. We think she could also be a great couch potato given some time. Her breed is a little unknown. She is small for a Boxer so we are thinking something smaller might be mixed in- maybe JR Terrier? We hope you will consider adding STAR to your family soon. She now walks on a leash and is learning some basic manners.

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.

Go meet their pets

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..
