My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for your one true soulmate? Perhaps a bit shy, but willing to accompany you on any errand you undertake? Sasha is the companion you’ve been looking for. She is four years old, a black lab, with a bit of a weight problem out of boredom. But once she gets into a stable environment and becomes part of your pack with her own special role and expectations, that weight will drop off. She is a little shy and unsure of herself, but she warms up quickly to those around her who show her kindness. Sasha loves walks and rides in a car. In short, wherever you go, she’s up for adventure. She will do anything to please you and could use some training from a patient person. She has never lived indoors, but if that’s where you live, Sasha will be by your side. Sasha is the very definition of loyalty and will bond strongly to you, remaining your steadfast companion. She awaits your arrival.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.

Go meet their pets

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

More about this shelter

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..
