Hi! My name is Ruby. I’m just as beautiful as the famous DeLong Star Ruby. There is a lot of me to love at 70 pounds, but you wouldn’t know it because I’m as gentle as a lamb! Check out my coat. See all those spots? I have some Dalmatian in me as well as some Great Pyrenees.
Rubies are said to enhance the ability to give and receive unconditional love. It is known as the stone of the heart. It’s a perfect name for me as I’m so sweet, affectionate, and gentle. The staff and volunteers say I give the best kisses of anyone.
I’ve been at TBC for about 6 years now and I’m so very ready to find my forever home. I’m about 8 years old so I’ve outgrown the puppy crazies and have settled into a calm, laid back girl. I do want to be the star of the show- so I prefer to be your only canine family member.
I’m housetrained, Heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped.

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..
