My story

Charlie is a beautiful Red Heeler mix breed that is looking for a furever home and a fresh start to life. He can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly. He is a staff favorite and loves to walk on the leash as well. He is affectionate once he gets to know you and loyalty is his nature. He was born around September of 2015.

Charlie was living with a homeless man that eventually found a place to live that did not allow dogs. Thankfully one of our supporters found out about him and brought him to us.

Charlie is typical Heeler, he wants to be a family dog but tends to bond best with one man/one woman. They often do not tolerate strangers and will guard his family well. He is housetrained and prefers to live with a girl dog for best harmony.

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.

Go meet their pets

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..
