My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tiggs!  Tiggs is a handsome young guy who is looking for his forever home!  He is a little shy, so it will take him a bit of time to feel comfy in a new home.  He is ok with other cats but is definitely the underdog so he would need a housemate who is mellow and won't bully him.  Some of the other cats here have picked on him a bit.  Tiggs is pretty playful and is a talker.  He has a lot of potential to be a great companion, he will just need a little patience to come around at his own pace.  Would do best in a home with no small children . Born Aug 2020. Tiggs has had his adoption fee donated!

Additional adoption info

Potential adopters complete an application and are screened for the ability to provide permanent, quality care for a cat. Our staff try to match the adopter with the appropriate cat for their home, and follow-up support is available after the adoption. If you are interested, please stop by and fill out a Adoption Application form and contact the shelter, either by phone or message on Facebook! Please note: the deposit is only required after you have met the cat you are interested in and if you would like to put a hold on that cat.

More about this shelter

Beginning in 1992 as a non-profit animal rescue group, A.S./A.P. (Associated Society/Animal Protection) evolved into a no-kill, limited capacity cat shelter by 2001. Since it's inception, the independent organization has functioned solely on private donations, fundraisers, and volunteers. There is no financial support from the county, state, or any other group. Our mission is to take in stray cats and kittens as space allows and find permanent, loving homes for them after they're examined by a veterinarian, FIV/Leuk tested, wormed, vaccinated, flea-treated, spayed/neutered plus treated for whatever medical conditions they arrive with. We have an outreach program where we can offer some help to people with their own cats (or cats they find) depending upon our available resources.

The cats housed at A.S./A.P. get a clean, warm environment with nutritious food, lots of compassionate care, and plenty of time to run, frolic, and interact with other cats and people. There is a wide variety of personalities and surely one that is just right for you.
