Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maple is an approx. 2 year old, female Alaskan Husky. She is very sweet and talkative when excited and absolutely loves new people (especially children). We adopted her from the humane society last year & before that she was a stray in Texas; she has been living with adults, another dog, a cat, and, more recently, a baby since.
Maple knew nothing when we adopted her but has since been house & crate trained (and will actually put herself to bed in it when she gets too tired). She’s learned some basic commands (sit, stay, play dead, wait for food) and recall but, in typical husky fashion, will often choose to ignore certain commands. I have been working to make her my running partner as well but she is still learning.
I’m looking to rehome Maple because lately I cannot fulfill her exercise needs. I can tell she needs more mental and physical stimulation that I just don’t have the time to provide. She would do great in an active family, preferably with a lot of space for her to run.
