This helps Marleigh's Friends with pet care costs.
Hank is a super sweet and goofy boy.
He was found as a stray in the country, just trying to survive on his own. People were very mean to him when he would come around looking for food. Because of this, he is very shy/nervous in new places and around new people, but non aggressive. Once you win him over, he will give you his entire heart. He is extremely loving and affectionate, quite the big baby.
Hank is loyal, and goofy. He loves to play and loves adventure. His smile as is big as Texas and his little under bite is one of the cutest things you'll see!
He would do best in a low traffic home. He has been fostered with a small (very dog experienced) child and is great, but he is a bit hyper and clumsy at times and can accidentally knock a small child down, (he's 80lbs), so he would do best with older children. He would thrive in a home with another dog to play with in a big back yard, but does require slow introductions as he is wary of new dogs at first. He is rambunctious with his dog friends and needs a friend that tolerate his ruff house play! He has been with other dogs ranging from 15-65lbs. Hank does well with non confrontational cats!
Hank has a (back) foot deformity. We do not know if it was a birth defect or if something happened to him, but he only has one toe on his back foot, which contributes some to his clumsiness. He has been on glucosamine and joint supplements his entire time in rescue and it is recommended he stays on them his entire life to prevent early arthritis because of his foot. It is not expensive and can be bought over the counter.
