Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Toots came to the MCSPCA after his owner passed away, thanks to the kindness and hard work of his owner’s family who were determined to see the owner’s cats safely placed. His age is a mystery (the owner’s family thinks he is 4 years old) but we do know he has lots of love to give. Toots is shy at first but does not waste much time before showing off his very sweet personality. He will also shower you with lots of purrs and even drool when he is happy. To keep his heart stealing smile, Toots eats Royal Canin dental food mixed with regular dry food. Toots’ kidney levels were above normal when he spent time charming the vet so he would likely benefit from a renal diet and daily canned food (told you Toots charmed the vet).
Toots came from a home with other cats so would likely be fine with other cats but he also likes being the center of attention in his foster home. Mostly, he wants a home that will love and care for him for the rest of his life.
To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in person in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
