PLEASE scroll down and read the ENTIRE BIO. It is lengthy but has ALL INFO we know. Emailing and asking for more info is only going to hold up your process and risk your chances of the dog you want being gone. THELMA is in SALEM, Ohio. SHE is fully vetted including spay/microchip/rabies/Bordetella/parvo distemper vaccine/worming/heartworm lyme test/heartworm-flea prevent while at the shelter. We do not ship dogs, we do not transport dogs, we do not hold dogs. You must be ready to adopt within 72 hours upon approval.
FULLY VETTED ADOPTION FEE is: $200
** PLEASE NOTE: Since we are a shelter, the majority of our dogs have not had the luxury of a foster home. As a result, what we post in reference to their behavior, temperament, likes/dislikes etc is only what we witness here and not in a home atmosphere. ALSO, the breed mix posted is simply a GUESS on our part, we DO NOT do DNA testing.
Hi Humans!! I will start at the beginning...I (along with my buddy Louise who has since been adopted) was found on a very rural back road. No one came looking for us and it has been assumed that we were just "dumped". Can you imagine??? A beautiful, fun loving, loves everyone gal like myself just dumped?? No, neither could my foster mom. But I am thrilled to be hanging out with my doggie foster siblings (2 boys and 1 girl), as you can see in the pics we are having a BLAST!!! Foster mom was also impressed because I learned how to navigate thru a doggie door within 10 minutes of being in the house!! I do really well with my potty habits but a new home will mean new routines so patience is key. Foster mom is thrilled that I am crate trained and love sleeping in my "condo" at night (even though I'd rather be cuddled up with her in bed lol). Car rides??? LOVE THEM, however I have been known to "judge" the pilot with a "why you drivin so fast" look (also seen in the picture). I will require a harness when leash walking due to my strength. My very very favorite thing to do is follow my foster mom all over the house lol. After proper exercising I can be found cuddling with her and my canine foster siblings. Playing fetch in the back yard is also a fav pastime. The vet aged me at between 3-4 yrs old but I still have a ton of puppy play in me without all the silly puppy issues like chewing on everything! My only (what some humans would call) downfall is that I am a licker....I love to give kisses...ALOT of kisses. If that is not something you are fond I you will have to teach me to give my kisses sparingly! Oh and I have been know to snore like an old man at times!! So to recap....I love other dogs, all humans of all ages, I could go on about how great I am but what you really need to do is fill out that application so you can see for yourself!! love, thelma xoxo
