My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This quiet, mellow female tuxedo cat was born May 2021. Java meets you at the door, enjoys brushing, will give kitty kisses on your hands, isn’t fond of being held, but likes to sit next to you. She likes watching wildlife at the windows, playing with toys by herself or with you, and playing with running water. Java is shy/avoidant of strangers, friendly with known folks, hasn’t met dogs, and is fine with patient, gentle kids. She gets along with most cats and runs away if things look confrontational. She would do best with another pet for a companion. Java is litter trained and uses a scratching post.

This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Some special breeds are $250+tax. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). Easier to do today than 1 -2 years later when you finally realize the need.
