Smokie is a gsd, husky, malamute, cattle dog who is 2.5 years old. Smokie is shy at first but if you have a squeaky tennis ball or yummy treats, you can win him over. He is more afraid of men and a bit barky but he does come around. He loves to play fetch, has good house manners and is kennel trained. Smokie does have a high prey drive so no cats or small critters. He has attended daycare and did best with females, We recommend no children of any age as they could be a bit overwhelming for him. Smokie can be timid when outside of home, meeting people or being in active places. But foster mom says he has made great strides and just needs practice. We are asking for a quiet home in an area with not a lot of traffic or noise. Because he loves to run, jump and play, his own backyard is a must. Smokies person will need to have some patience and time to work with him on his social skills. More about this rescue
All Mixed Up Dog Rescue serves the public as a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue of homeless and abandoned dogs. While in rescue we provide a loving, temporary home for each one. We get them vetted, groomed, teach them basic manners, along with some training. We strive to personally get to know each one of our dogs and look for a family that best fits their needs. What we have learned in the past is - the more you have in common the more it will make for a better relationship. Our goal at All Mixed Up Dog Rescue is to find well-matched, permanent families for each one of them. As a community resource, we provide nutrition information, referrals, education, training tips and other services.
