My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

No Matter How Hard The Past Is You Can Always Begin Again

Polly P is a 6 year old Beagle weighing in at 24.6 lbs.

We don’t know exactly what life this sweet girl had before coming to us but what we do know is that it is only up from here. Polly is scared of everything, even her own shadow. This little lady takes a little bit to warm up to new places and new things, she needs to feel safe. She bonds very quickly to her new family and loves hard. Once she is comfortable she opens up and shows her true self. Polly loves to be with her people and has a bit of anxiety when left alone. No fast movements at first and slow pets and Polly will learn that she can trust you and doesn’t have to be scared. Polly is becoming more and more confident daily in her foster home and is learning that not everything is scary. In true beagle fashion our girl loves to eat. Chew toys and her teddy bears are the best things ever.

Polly is working on mastering her doggy skills, she is crate trained. Potty training is going great but she’s still learning that the world isn’t a scary place and her leash keeps her safe. Polly loves kids and other dogs, and doesn’t pay any attention to cats. A playmate in her new home would be ideal, someone to show her the ropes. A fenced in yard is required in Polly’s new home so she can feel safe and secure. Someone home majority of the time would be a bonus for our girl as she doesn’t like to be alone.

We can tell Polly has lived a hard life and now it is time for her to live the good life. It’s time for her to feel the patience and security of having a loving family and a warm fluffy bed to sleep on. Polly deserves all the good things in life and that includes all the Nyla bones. Are you ready to give Polly the home and love she deserves?

All of our animals are fully vetted which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and microchipped) prior to adoption.
