Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Buddy! Buddy is a playful, wiggly, and loving 3-year old, 34 lb cattle dog mix. Buddy was rescued from the streets of Texas and loves to play with other active dogs, work for treats, and receive lots of love and attention from his humans. Buddy is excitable and nervous about being left alone but is slowly becoming more patient and confident with lots of love and patience from his foster parents. He is friendly with kids, other dogs, and humans, and has lived with (and mostly avoids) cats.
Buddy will do well in a home that can keep his body, and his mind, busy with training, time outdoors, and enrichment activities. In particular he loves hikes and puzzles and toys where he can work for treats. He occasionally becomes stressed by loud noises, barking dogs, and other distractions, and will benefit from a owner who is dedicated to working with him through these. His foster parents are working to help him stop jumping up on people when he is excited to see them. Previous cattle dog, or other high-drive breeds, experienced homes are preferred for Buddy.
Buddy reports:
Kids: Calm kids ok
Cats: Curious but mostly ignores
Dogs: Sure! If they're dog friendly and can keep up
Chickens or Livestock: Never met any
Crate: Dislikes, but tolerates
Vehicle: Enjoys, rests
Activity level: Playful
Likes: Chews, licks, and puzzle toys
Dislikes: Loud noises, barking dogs, being left alone
Bite History: None
Buddy is neutered, microchipped and has received age-appropriate core vaccines. Buddy is being fostered in Sultan, WA and the adoption fee is $390. If you're interested in meeting Buddy, please fill out an adoption application on our website: pnwcdr.org/adopt
Please note: We do not do DNA testing on our foster dogs. The breed description is our best guess based on the dog’s appearance, mother’s appearance, paperwork, etc.
