SAMSON is a 4 year old Rottweiler (of European bloodlines, we are told). He weighs in at a svelte 104 lbs. Samson was well cared for and well loved in his previous home however, an incident with a bone and their 7 year old child forced them to give him up. The parents agreed that it was not Samson’s fault and that the child had a history of pestering him. Although Samson is an imposin-looking guy, he is still puppyish inside wants to get to know him. Like most Rotti, he will be protective of his home but is easily introduced to new people and new family members. He sometimes seems aloof but he is not used to the spoken word as his previous parents were both deaf and used sign language. Samson can definitely work on his leash manners and we recommend continuing his walks and socialization outside of “the big backyard“. Samson is scheduled to be neutered early June and will be available mid month. We are looking for a family with Rottweiler experience. He did live with another dog a couple of years ago and may do well with a laid-back female dog. As we get to know him we will continue to assess his doggy skills. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org. Meet and greet will be set up with approved application only. Adoption $350. Samson is up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.
