My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ready to fill your heart and home with love? Meet our sweet Missy! She is a
1.5 year old, 70 pound, Newfoundland, Pit Bull, Boston Terrier mix. Adorable
Missy favorite place to be is next to you. She would love to be a lap dog
but because of her size she is better suited to sitting next to you. She
LOVES her quality time so please have a nice comfy couch! Missy loves toys
so please get some extra durable KONG Type toys. She is shy with strangers,
but once she's comfortable she is a tail wagging sweetie! She is ready to
be your best friend. She has a mischievous twinkle in her eyes ( which is
why she is named "Missy") She is friendly but shy with other dogs and
avoid cats. She loves to walk and behaves well on the leash. She LOVES car
rides! She will require quality food and healthy treats to restore her coat.
She may have flea allergies so please be familiar with oral flea medication.
She is currently living in an enclosed patio so a home is urgently needed.
The home owner has cancer and cannot provide for her. Her mother Mama and
brother Brownie are also available. She is housebroken. She likes to escape
the yard by jumping the fence but only does this when left alone to long.
Please be a homeowner with a securely fenced yard. She is spayed, vaccinated
and microchipped. She is ready for her new loving home. OFFICEIf you are interested in this dog or would like more information please send me an Adoption QuestionnaireThank youAdoption Fees For Dogs Start At

We appreciate that you are interested in one or more of our dogs or cats for adoption. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner.

1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.

2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)

a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.

b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.

c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.

3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org

4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/

5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
We are closed on Sundays unless you make prior arrangements and schedule an appointment
