My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Uno is a ninja cat. She was born ready to parkour and defies gravity as she jumps from staircase to windowsill and back again, almost so stealthy that her foster mom barely has a chance to catch her in the act.

She is a uniquely intelligent cat, not to be outsmarted by people or toys. One morning, her foster mom woke up to discover that Uno had lined up all her favorite cat toys in a single file line overnight. You have to see the photo to believe it - truly a curious thing to see! Just like kryptonite is to Superman, Uno has one weakness that gets her every time - the sound of her can of food being opened. Nothing comes between her and her wet food.

Like many ninjas, she prefers a life of solitude while she practices her art, so she would be best as an only cat with no other cats in the home. She has lived successfully with two older small dogs.

She is just 2 years old and is fixed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. She has great litter box habits. Although she is not declawed, she has conquered a cardboard wavy scratching post and does fine using this scratcher instead of furniture.

Want to know more about this powerful warrior cat? Email tysonsplacerescue@gmail.com for more information. *Did you know we offer a foster to adopt option? This means you can try out a cat in your house for two to four weeks before finalizing an adoption. This time allows you to get to know the cat's personality and to make sure it's a good fit. In the meantime, the original foster home remains open and ready to take the cat back if it's not the right match.*

Go meet their pets

We are a small rescue without a facility so we rely on volunteers to temporarily house the animals until adopted. Because the animals are in private foster homes, we need to make arrangements for a visit to happen. Please email us for further information. Additionally, we have adoption events throughout the year - check out our Facebook for a current listings. We do private adoption visits with approved applicants.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding homes for their pets. Since we help people receiving hospice care, heading into nursing homes, or families after the pet owner died, we often receive older animals. WE value older animals and cherish all that they can offer to their new family. We do not have a physical facility, so we rely on volunteers to foster the pets in their home until they are adopted.
