My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bumi was originally adopted into a home where the other cats bullied him. He was surrendered and adopted into another home where he lived for about 4 years. During this time. Bumi blossomed and according to his mom he is very affectionate, loves hanging out with people, will greet you when you come home and follow you around the home. He is also quite playful.
As the family grew, renovations were made, a dog was added to the mix and things became a bit chaotic. This was very stressful for Bumi and he  became unhappy. The difficult decision was made to do what was right for him and he was surrendered to find a new home.
Bumi is having a hard time adjusting to his surroundings. He needs a quiet home, no dogs ,cats or children. All he wants is someone to spend time with and his true personality will come out. He just needs someone to take a chance on him and give him time to adjust.

He was then surrendered to Tabby Town and adopted by his second family. He lived with them for about 4 years. His family said that he adjusted well and has a great personality. He is very affectionate, cuddly, and loves hanging out with his people and will follow you around the house. He loves his toys and when he is super happy he purrs loudly and even will drool!  He has a brown tail which was the result of getting his tail caught in a door. Very unique looking!

Unfortunately, things began to change in the home and this made Bumi uncomfortable. The family added a dog to the home, a baby was born, the family moved to another house and there was a lot of remodeling being done- very chaotic.  Bumi became very unhappy and the family made the difficult decision to do what was the right thing for him and try to find him a home where he could be is happy self

When he had some recent bloodwork done, it showed an indication of a heart problem. We took him to a specialist who discovered that he has a mild thickening of one heart wall. This is very treatable with a quarter of a very small tablet of an inexpensive medication. This is a preventative measure so that it doesn’t get any worse.  During the exam we also learned that his teeth are excellent, blood pressure is great, and his bladder and kidneys are clear. This is all very good news.

While he is at Tabby Town, waiting for just the right home, he is stressed. Because of this, his true personality is hidden. If you stop to visit with him, sometimes he won’t show you how loving and friendly he truly is. While at the vets office and away from the other cats and noises, he was super affectionate and very sweet. This is his true personality. He just needs a chance to show it to you.

His new home needs to be a low activity home, no other cats, young children or dogs. This is because his previous home was just too busy for him and he deserves to live where he can feel comfortable and be himself. If you have this type of home and have patience to let Bumi adjust at his own pace, you will be rewarded with a loyal and loving companion.
