Meet Sadie! This super sweet little bundle of love has a personality of a shy girl, but once she’s confident-she loves to play, run around, cuddle up, get pets and belly rubs! She loves her chew toys and isn’t possessive of them. She is crate trained at night but also is able to sleep on her little doggie bed (although she prefers a cushion on a chair).
Sadie is from the Dominican Republic and is adjusting to city life quickly. She is working on becoming more comfortable in noisy, busy environments. Sometimes she gets overwhelmed and needs to be carried to a more quiet area. She is overcoming these fears daily and is making quick progress. Sadie is mostly house trained but usually has an early morning accident on her pee pads.
Sadie is the sweetest little cuddle bug and would like nothing more than to be snuggled up next you or one of her fur siblings (cat or dog) and sleep the day away. That said she is fine to sleep on her own and occasionally watch you work. She is friendly but cautious with new people and dogs and has the same shy reaction to kids of any age.
Sadie is not one to hide her emotions. If she’s happy, the sides of her mouth curl up to a contented smile. If she’s excited, you’ll get a wiggly butt and kisses. If she’s scared she’ll back into the bushes like that Homer Simpson gif. Indoors she is almost 100% happy and content. The outdoor world is a bit scarier…
Sadie is still learning how to be a dog in a busy city but is improving every day. She is a joy to have around and whomever adopts her will be a very lucky person!
