Here's what the humans have to say about me:
NAME: TIA
AGE: Approx. 1.5 yrs
BREED: Miniature Pinscher Mix
SIZE: 10lbs
HOUSEBROKEN: Yes
TEMPERAMENT: Playful, shy, cuddly
MEDICAL CONDITIONS: None
VETTING: UTD on all vaccines, spayed, microchipped
Tia was dumped in our rescue partner’s sanctuary yard at the beginning of April 2022 in the Dominican Republic. When she first arrived, she was a little more of a nervous gal-but that changed very quickly. Over the first few weeks she, learned to trust her foster mama in the DR allowing her sweet, loving and playful personality to shine. She was initially afraid of the other dogs at the sanctuary, but after her adjustment to her temporary life at the rescue, she is now a playful and cuddly little lady! Her favourite playmates are larger dogs including a residing Great Dane at the sanctuary.
Tia is now in Canada and has shown her veryyyy affectionate personality here. She likes to follow you around and be where you are and loves to cuddle with you at all times and has learned to use her crate. Although she does like her person, Tia is a typical little and doesn’t like to share. She’s great with other dogs as she’s lived with many, but boundaries will need to be set and a proper intro is needed if other dogs are in the residing home.
Tia is a shy loving dog who will make an amazing companion. When she finds her person - she falls hard! She loves snuggling, walks and playing in the backyard. She’s a fan of all things squeaky and the smelliest wet food you can find!
Tia still gets frightened easily, but her current fosters are seeing that improve with time! She will need patience and someone who will help her understand her toys and food are hers to stay!
