Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Okie Cocoa! This sweet boy is six months old, and about 40 pounds. He will remain a medium-sized dog, and he might get to be about 50-55 pounds, we think. We believe he has labrador retriever, whippet and Manchester terrier in his breed mix. Okie is a fun and goofy boy. He’s not the smartest of his brothers and sisters, but he makes up for it in his joyfulness for life! His foster mom said he makes every day a good day. Okie loves all sorts of toys. From squeaky toys to chew toys and ropes he can chew on. He loves to play chase the ball, but he’s not sure about bringing it back yet! He is doing very well on his leash training. His foster mom has been practicing with him a little bit every day. He is also crate trained and has had very few accidents in the house! Okie does try to signal when he needs to go out! He has been in the rescue all his life, he’s just had a hard time getting adopted. Okie survived Parvo at that cute age of about three months. And being all black, his pictures just don’t do his adorable little face justice! Are you ready to bring the joy of Okie to your home? Put in your application right away!
Interested in becoming a forever home for Okie? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application.
Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws.
We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Okie.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Okie the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us.
For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.
Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
