Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Auggie first arrived to the shelter in June 2022, underweight and nervous. Our hearts broke for Auggie, he was clearly under-socialized. We allowed him to decompress on his terms with slow walks and slow introductions to the world. He was starting to understand people can be friendly, and good people are willing to work with him. He wasn`t in our shelter long before he was adopted. In June 2023, Auggie was returned by his adopter. Auggie is now back at the shelter and he isn`t as shut down as he once was, but he is hesitant to want to trust again. Can you blame him? Auggie walks well on leash, and over all is allowing his personality to come through. His ideal home is a calm environment, where you will continue to introduce him to more experiences, have structure and allow him to navigate the world with your support. He will need consistent training to work on his guarding behaviors; as he does best with a routine.
