My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ivy, a charming 3-4-year-old Pittie mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy! Ivy's beauty is matched only by her sweet nature, making her the perfect addition to your family. Ivy may want a bit of time for slow introductions to new people, but once she knows you, she's a devoted and affectionate companion. She's fantastic with other dogs, making her an excellent playmate for your furry friends. However, Ivy prefers a feline-free environment, so a cat-free home is a must. When it comes to play, Ivy is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm. She loves adventures, whether it's a hike in the woods or a day at the park. But Ivy also has a gentle side. She adores cuddling up with her favorite humans, ensuring that you're never short on love and warmth. Ivy is a responsible pup who's spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and energetic companion who's equally passionate about cuddling, Ivy is the perfect match. Come meet her today and embark on a world of adventures and love together! 🐾

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

With fosters and dogs located across various areas, we prioritize a streamlined adoption process. To ensure a smooth experience, we require an approved application before arranging meet-and-greets with our dogs. This way, we can make the most of everyone's time and often avoid unnecessary back-and-forth. Once your application is approved, we'll connect you with the foster to set up a meet!

More about this rescue

At Voice for Animals Rescue and Sanctuary (VARS), we're a 501(c)3 dedicated to giving harder-to-adopt dogs a second chance at life. We specialize in rescuing dogs who've been overlooked due to their coat color, disability, breed, or age. Our mission is simple: help dogs in need, no matter what. From tiny to giant, puppies to seniors - if they're being passed over, we'll step in.

While puppies aren't our usual focus, we do support moms and babies when needed. And for our senior friends, they hold a special place in our hearts. Once cherished family members, they're often abandoned simply for being "old." We vow to be their voice, their shelter, and their ticket to a loving home.

We'll keep working until every paw finds its forever home.
