My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milky Way is a beautiful 2-year old female Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix who was surrendered by her owner at closing time on February 17, 2022. Milky Way was wearing a collar but there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag .. Fortunately she was microchipped so we were able to locate information about her background from her original owner.

Milky Way has a snow white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, a red/chocolate brown nose, and large semi-erect ears.

This little dollbaby has a sweet lovable disposition and a happy, playful outgoing personality.

Milky Way is good with most other dogs as well as children, but she does NOT tolerate cats in her circle of friends and cannot be trusted to be nice to them.

Milky Way has been kept indoors and is housebroken. Milky Way has already been spayed.

Milky Way weighs 58.4 lbs and is very strong on a leash (especially when she sees a cat).

Her original owner reported that Milky Way is actually a gentle dog but she can be very 'hyper' when she gets excited. That individual recommended that Milky Way would benefit from an obedience training course or to be in a home with somebody who would have the time, expertise, and patience to train her.

We had taken Milky Way's original photos in February 2022 on a rather dreary winter day which really didn't show what a beautiful girl she actually is.

Milky Way has recently participated in several off-site events and did herself proud ..

Milky Way was chosen as one of our shining stars for the 'Fourth of July' holiday publicity photos on June 17, 2022 which better highlighted her exquisite beauty and charming personality. Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Hayley Sturm for assisting Milky Way with her alluring poses. Milky Way looked gorgeous as well as patriotic in her red/white/blue floral attire.
