My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!**

Hi y’all. My name is Kinglet, and I am one of the boys from the Little Birdies litter. I thought my name meant that I am the king of my family, but my foster mom told me that isn’t true. I am not even the biggest – I am actually one of the smaller boys. But that doesn’t stop me from playing with my brothers and sisters. We have lots of fun playing – wrestling, chasing each other, playing tug-of-war – just about anything. But I also love visiting with the other puppies and with the big dogs. I even like seeing the goats. Oh, and did I tell you … I love people too! Do you love little guys like me? I can’t wait until I get to go home with my new family. I don’t care if my family has little people or even other puppies or dogs (although I would really like that) – I just want to go HOME with my new family. I live with my foster family in Eatonton, but I’m ready to pack my bags and move on.

Cardinal’s mom is a sweet Hound mix, about 75 lbs., and dad is unknown. Based on the pups’ weights now, their dad must be a smaller dog and we don’t think that they will get as big as their mama. And although Mama Robin is tan and white, the puppies are a variety of colors. The pups came into the rescue’s care at about 5 weeks old. They are happy, healthy puppies and they will be completely vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered and microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, worming, and both heartworm and flea / tick prevention. They are energetic pups who will need their families to make sure they have adequate time to give her plenty of exercise and play time! And of course, training – to make sure that they grow up to be good family members. Our rescue also requires that each adopter's current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. All animals in your household should also be spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason to keep them from being altered.

If you are interested in making Kinglet or one of the other Little Birdies pups part of your family, please visit the link below to fill out an application! It is best to submit an application through a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt; however, it does put you in the queue for the puppy that you are interested in. To expedite the process, please make sure that you complete the application entirely – listing the names and phone numbers for your references (personal as well as vet and landlord, if applicable). If you have any questions, please contact us – we’d be glad to help!
