My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Curtis is looking for a hero. Curtis is a super friendly Grey Male, believed to be about 6 years old, with fur the color of a Russian Blue. He was found lying in the middle of the street by a good Samaritan. Animal control was called and picked him up and brought him to the So. Ocean Co. Animal Shelter in Manahawkin where he was assessed by a vet and it was discovered he is partially blind due to cataracts. He had no idea he was in the middle of the road. He may be able to see shadows. Apparently poor Curtis was living outdoors, he has his left ear tipped which tells us he was tnr'd and someone was probably feeding him, but he can longer live outside not being able to see well. He now needs an indoor only home. He is a sweetheart of a cat, super friendly, loves people and attention, loves to be petted and brushed and will purr and snuggle against you while you brush him. He deserves a good home just like any other cat. He would fit in almost any type of home and make a wonderful companion. He knows his kitty manners and uses his litterbox faithfully and would probably not mind sharing a home with another cat. It would be best if his new family had a separate room to start him off in to introduce him to his new surroundings just like introducing any new cat into a household. He really has no special needs except to being kept indoors. He is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, tested negative for fiv and felv and now microchipped. If you think you could be Curtis’s hero, an application to adopt can be filled out on line at Fosocas.org or you can text or call Linda 609-709-8583 for more information and she can arrange to meet you at the shelter in Manahawkin for a meet and greet. Don’t discount animals with disabilities. You will be rewarded ten times over with unconditional love.
