My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marlow! Marlow came up from rural KY as part of a severe neglect case. Him and several other dogs where living in horrible conditions when a partner shelter and rescue reached out to us for assistance. Marlow is a supposed collie mix and a medium to large guy. While he weighs about forty pounds, he should probably be more at fifty or fifty-five. Marlow is estimated at about two years old.

Marlow immediately connected to foster mom, he has a tendency to find his person and run with that. He loves laying next to her and curling up next to her. Despite his horrible living conditions, Marlow is a fantastic guy. He is very gentle and as of now low key. He could liven up once a little more comfortable but we don’t think he will be overly hyper.

Marlow is doing well with the other dogs in the home. He is a bit hesitant around them but given the situation, that is not a surprise. When dogs suffer this type of trauma, they need sometimes needs to relearn resources do not need to be fought over. Time and patience will surly help Marlo’s reestablish his over all trust. Marlow has already after a few short days progressed. He is with a small JRT and an older Shepard mix and has not had any issues. He has started to want to play with the JRT and she is always game for that.

Marlow is doing great with his training. He did initially mark but for the most part waits to potty outside. He does well in the crate. Marlow walks decently in the leash but does not have leash skills.

Marlow is just an overall sweet, well behaved dog. If this sounds like you guy, apply today at https://www.rescueahart.org/ in order to show Marlow that not all people are bad!
