Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Abby
Resilient, happy, grateful, silly, affectionate, intelligent -- that's only a few of the words people use to describe Abby. This wonder dog was rescued from the outskirts of Nashville with extensive physical injuries but her eager spirit remained fully intact. She got right to work learning all things dog, and with the help of her incredible fosters and the support of her huge fan base, Abby has made strides bigger than Secretariat! She's crate, leash, and house trained, and enjoys enrichment activities to keep her mind engaged. She's a dream in the car and loves being a copilot. She thrives on routine and open communication and would adore an active family that wants to include her in their adventures. Abby does well with other dogs, though she doesn't need to be in a home with another to be happy. She has been somewhat kid tested and seems to enjoy kid energy! She started out at a vastly underweight 40 lbs and is now at a healthy 60 lbs and may need a few less treats! Her first vet visit said she was 2 years or under and based on her foster experience they would say “under 2 years” because she was such a PUPPY!! Now that she has had some time to grow and adjust she has become what we think is a full grown amazing dog for her next spot! She is fully vaccinated and fixed with a clean bill of health of course and we are committed to her continued training and learning how to be the best dog for her next family. If you would like to meet Abby please reach out to the contact here. We do require an application and meet and greet prior to an overnight and beyond for adoption. We always want to make sure it is a fit and potential adopters don’t pay a fee prior to a sure fit!
