My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Newest update: July 2022

This sweetheart is a 3 year old Coonhound mix currently weighing 55# but will benefit from shedding a few of those pounds with proper diet and exercise.

Nali has only been in Maine a short time but her foster mom says this about her...

"This girl is so sweet! Cannot believe she needs a new home! House trained, crate trained, independent but loves to be with you, playful, likes walks and napping...good with kids and dogs! What a love!"

One thing we are learning is that Nali gets overwhelmed and reactive towards other dogs when on walks so her foster family is working on that and it will be important for her adoptive family to be willing to manage this and most likely get some support from a dog trainer.

When off leash such as at daycare she is perfect with other dogs with a proper intro. She is SUCH a sweetheart!

We did have Nali meet with a dog savvy cat and although she did not seem overly interested we are uncertain if she can safely live with them. She has shown that she has a super high prey drive towards squirrels. If introduced slowly and the cat is confident living with dogs she might do okay in time.

We can't wait to see this wonderful girl find her forever family!

If you have interest in meeting Nali or any of our cuties please fill out the adoption application.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed. They are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
