My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!**

Hi, my name is Chickadee, and I am part of the Little Birdies litter. I would call us the lucky litter instead. My siblings and I had a rough start, but now we live at this wonderful place the humans call a “foster home”. We’ve had baths - I didn’t even mind. And some other stuff (medicines and shots) that I didn’t like so much. But now we have lots of food and a foster mom and dad who play with us and feed us and take care of us. Yep, I’m a lucky girl. Maybe that’s why I’m such a happy puppy. I’m also a smart puppy. When I meet new people I sit back for a moment to make sure everything is okay. And then I am all about loving and playing. I LOVE to be cuddled. And I love playing with both my people and my siblings. My dad calls me the “little queen” because I am very vocal in telling my big brothers not to pick on me. Even if they get rough sometimes, I really like being with my brothers and sisters and all the other puppies and dogs we meet at my foster home. I think I would fit right in with a family with other pets and even with little people, or children as my foster mom calls them. Would you like me to be a part of your family? I live with my foster family in Eatonton, but I ready to move to my furever home.

Chickadee’s mom is a sweet Hound mix, about 75 lbs., and dad is unknown. Based on the pups’ weights now, we don’t think that they will get as big as their mama. And although Mama Robin is tan and white, the puppies are a variety of colors. The pups came into the rescue’s care at about 5 weeks old. They are happy, healthy puppies and they will be completely vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered and microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, worming, and both heartworm and flea / tick prevention. They are energetic pups who will need their families to make sure they have adequate time to give her plenty of exercise and play time! And of course, training – to make sure that they grow up to be good family members. Our rescue also requires that each adopter's current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. All animals in your household should also be spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason to keep them from being altered.

If you are interested in making Chickadee or one of the other Little Birdies pups part of your family, please visit the link below to fill out an application! It is best to submit an application through a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt; however, it does put you in the queue for the puppy that you are interested in. To expedite the process, please make sure that you complete the application entirely – listing the names and phone numbers for your references (personal as well as vet and landlord, if applicable). If you have any questions, please contact us – we’d be glad to help!
