My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kanye is such a sweet boy! He came into rescue on 4/24, and he has already made so much progress! He will now come up for pets if his foster parents are petting their other dog, will let you pet him if you come to him and will take treats from his foster's hands.

Kanye is not a fan of the crate but sleeps happily through the night on a blanket next to the foster mom’s bed. He stays in the laundry room while his foster family is gone. Kanye is coming along well with leash training but still gets scared sometimes. He will need continued help learning that leashes are safe. He’s only had a few accidents since he arrived, and potty training is going well. He knows to go to the door to ask to go out. He’s very playful and loves running and chasing his foster brother and will chase a ball if you throw it as well.

He is very gentle and sweet with young kids but can sometimes get scared when they get a bit rambunctious. The foster mom has a 7 y/o boy, 6 y/o boy, and 17-month-old for reference. Kanye lets his foster parents pick him up and carry him when necessary and has never shown aggression to anyone.
Kanye must be in a home with another dog to help guide him as he’s not quite sure how to be a dog. He needs a very patient family that will let him adjust on his own timeline.
