My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Mel (short for Melody). I’m a beautiful, almost 3 year old grey and white polydactyl girl kitty. Polydactyl kitties have extra toes!! I have extra toes on my front feet. We polydactyl cats are very rare kitties indeed 😊. My name comes from where I was rescued with my kittens – the music building on a college campus. My beautiful tuxedo boy (Ernie) and I had a nice home once, but the family lost their jobs and had to move during Covid and couldn’t take us. Now we’re back in a foster home waiting for a new forever home.

Since I’ve lived with a family my whole life (except when I was lost on the streets for a while), I’m an indoor cat and love family life. Once I get adjusted to my new family, I’m just a big lover and I'm super chill. Purr, purr, purr - that is me. I’ll drop and roll for you too so you can pet my belly – I just love tummy rubs. I like to play with toys since I’m still a young kitty. Cat condos are my favorite, especially on lazy afternoons. I sleep with my foster mom and follow her to the restroom for extra petting. It will take me a while to adjust to my new family and home though, so I’ll need a patient adopter. If you're looking for 2 cats, I’d like to be adopted with my son, Ernie, because we are best buddies. We groom each other and nap side-by-side in the cat condo every day. We would prefer to be the only cats too. But if you are only looking for one cat, I am such a chill, laid back girl, that would work too.

I’m already spayed and ready to go. So, if you can give us a second chance at a forever home and if you think I’d be a sweet, fun and loving addition to your family, it would be my dream come true to be a part of your family. You can call or text me at 602-757-9791 and ask for Deb. Or email me at drtweets2@msn.com I’ll be waiting to hear from you!
