My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born ~05/2022, M, Purebred Flame Siamese

Adoption Fee: $350 for the Pair

Tommy and Tabitha MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Tabitha here.

Some folks like to take an entire litter of kittens from the shelter. I like to take singletons, who are single kittens who are all alone in their dark metal cages. In general, kittens need the company of other kittens in order to survive and thrive. I got Tabitha and Tommy the same day and put them together. They were very quiet, and quite stiff, almost as though they were in shock. After a couple days, they were sleeping cuddled up together and things begin to improve. They have been with each other ever since and are very tightly bonded together. We all know that some folks are born into warm supportive families and some are not. Some humans have to find their own family in the world. It is the same way for kittens. Though we have no idea how they ended up alone in the shelter, Tommy and Tabatha have bonded and become family.

As is generally true of flame point kitties, Tommy is mellow, sweet and confident. He has a quiet soothing energy and kitties adore him. Tommy has such a sweet expression and such elegant lines it is impossible to take a bad photo of him. In contrast, Tabitha dislikes the camera and looks at it with great intent seriousness. Sometimes she scowls. Despite her lack of movie star aspirations she is a happy, playful, curious kitten. She and Tommy rough house and explore everything together. They are easy kittens- they eat everything and use their box and love attention from people they know.

Tabitha is a white mitted (footed) Maine Coon mix with perfect proportions and an extra long tail. Her fur is soft and lush with beautiful dark coloring, especially in her dramatic leg bandings. Her ears are growing tufts at the tips which I always love. If you look closely, you can see the dark outline of a perfect heart on the tip of her nose. Tommy, by contrast, has the long sleek body, long legs and tail of a Siamese kitty. Since he is a kitten, he is still developing his flame point markings on his ears and tail. His nose is pink, and of course his eyes are the true blue you would expect of a Siamese.

This pair is probably fine with friendly cats and kittens, we don’t know how they are with dogs. They would be good family cats with middle school and up children. Or they could be entertaining, loving companions for a single person or a couple who are home much of the time. Siamese and Maine Coon mixes like to bond deeply with their humans. When Tabatha and Tommy bonded together, they started their new family. When their adopters come for them, they will have the loving safe supportive family that they have been missing. They will give you their hearts and beauty and companionship in return. Perfect.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pets and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Tommy and Tabitha, please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com. If you are unable to reach Harriet, please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children to bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
