Abbie is a beautiful Chocolate Labrador Retriever born on 5/11/21, so slightly over a year old, approx. 60 pounds. She is a high-energy pup that was described to the family that adopted her from the individual as a laidback couch potato. Unfortunately, this family was told differently and she is not at all that couch potato they were looking for. Luckily they quickly understood she was not the right fit for their lifestyle or environment. Hence why we have been asked to help Abbie. Abbie is a sweet and loving typical full of energy Labrador. She LOVES to run, play, and jump a true working breed! She requires plenty of exercise to stay well-balanced and a large fenced-in yard to romp around in. They have no fence which doesn’t work for Abbie because she would take off never to be seen again. She is young and looks to us humans for obedience and leash training and someone willing to work with her on her manners. She’s a loving pup with no meanness in her, who truly needs an active Labbie family that will give her the attention and training she needs to be successful. Unfortunately, it appears she spent a good part of her life crated and so we want her to go to a home where someone either works from home or there is a stay-at-home mom, so she gets the attention she deserves. She would do best with older kids since she is rambunctious. She enjoys fetching, but hasn’t mastered returning the ball and will play keep away. She obviously needs the right home to be the best she can be! We can help her get started, but the right family will need to continue training to Labrador greatness! Abbie’s days of being tossed around are over, so only apply if you feel you can provide what this precious girl deserves and needs.
