We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption.

Pinto came from another shelter in Mexico run by two men. One of them got cancer and had to close the shelter so no one could take care of the dogs anymore. Many of the dogs arrived at our sister rescue SOS el Arca and Pinto was one of them.

Pinto did test positive for heartworm but was treated with fast kill injections as per Canadian Heartworm Protocol and no medication is required.

He is a very sweet dog who loves to be hugged and caressed, a gentle dog who just wants to be loved and find a soft place to land. Pinto has been at the shelter for years and how we hope it is his time to find a home of his own.

He gets along well with other dogs, cats and children 6+. He is a gentle should who requires a calm environment where he can go for nice quiet walks and lay in a backyard (fully fenced) while basking in the sun. Pinto would also be fine in an apartment or condo as he is not vocal.

Pinto does need to lose some weight and we know with a good food and exercise regime that can happen quickly.

If you feel you would be the right fit for Pinto, please fill out an adoption application at www.allpawsmatter.ca\

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heartworm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety.

BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!
