My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there. My name is Champ, and I was found as a stray on April 29, 2022. It is confusing why my family didn't look for me. My microchip said I was from St. Louis, but my family never answered the phone. Did they dump me here? Did they pass away? I'll never understand what happened...
Although I look like a grumpy old man, I'm really not at all! I'm sweet and laid back. I have the head of a Rottweiler, but I'm short, so maybe I have the build of a basset hound? Who knows!
I'm a VERY friendly boy. I recently got to go to some public events and was nice to everyone I met! It was so fun to get out of here for an afternoon. I LOVE chew toys and love to go on walks. Although I'm a strong boy (even at my age) I'm not hard to walk. And, a no-pull harness or training collar will help if needed.I get along great with other friendly dogs am okay with submissive cats.
Please...don't leave me here in this shelter. I'm an old gentleman who deserves so much more!
