Cherry is a new little senior rescue Chihuahua/ French Bulldog Mix we welcome into our program. She is originally from Tennessee and sadly her owner passed away. She will be 10 in December and had been treated for pancreatitis issues, but we did some blood work and found Rocky Mountain spotted fever. Although x-rays showed an enlarged spleen- we are confident because we found the RMSF, that her spleen will feel a lot better. We also switched her off of the prescription diet and moved her to a raw diet and her digestion is much better. Treating the RMSF she is also getting a lot more energy and is actually starting to chase after the dogs in her foster home.

Cherry is great with other dogs and has the best personality. She needs to lose about 10lbs but the new food should help with that. We are looking for a foster to adopt home in the Chicago area as we will need to repeat her blood work in a few months. We do want her to have a home with a fenced in yard and another dog friend would be nice.
