My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We adopted Maple from the Santa Maria shelter and immediately knew she was a special girl. We have had her for 4 months and are so deeply in love with her because she is an incredible dog. We have to rehome her because she doesn’t get along with our existing dog Winnie. She would do best as the only dog in a household. She is totally friendly to dogs on walks but at home gets protective (we think it may be because her lack of having a horn before makes her insecure and protective of her home and us). She’s amazingly calm, smart and trainable (she knows how to sit, lay, stay, and spin!). We have been using a crate with her and she’s trained with it but will also be okay without. I can’t say enough about how wonderful she is, which is why it is such a heartbreak to let her go. She would be a wonderful family dog, loves all people and has a sweet and calm demeanor. She is very loving but not so attached that you can’t leave. We hope to find her a loving home where she will receive love❤️
