My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Greeting’s everyone. My name is Kodiak and I’m a 3 year young Malamute/Husky mix. You could say I’m the quiet type and a bit reserved. But, that doesn’t mean that I don’t like attention. I just require slow introductions to new people and other dogs. Once I get to know you though, my true colors will come shining through. Underneath it all, I’m just a big old sweetheart and I will cherish all the attention and cuddles you can dish out.

My new hoomans will have to be patient in helping me to become a more confidant canine. I still need to learn basic commands and proficiency on a leash. Being that I am a sensitive boy, I will thrive with a gentle approach and learn best through positive reinforcement training. I have a healthy prey drive, so no kitties or small dogs for me. It would be best that I live in a home without small children. I am 78 pounds and my play can be a bit too rambunctious for
the little ones. I do love to play with large male/female dog’s and would sure fancy another friendly fury companion to have around.

My ideal home would be patient, loving and active. Going on walks, hikes, or even runs would surely make my day. Heck, I’m up for anything that gets me moving! So what do you say folks? If you give me a soft place to land, I will show you what a gem I truly am.
