My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This girl is wonderful! Meet Maple! She is an 8 year old, deaf feist mix about 33 lbs. Maple is totally vetted and spayed and ready for her new home! She is extremely smart, knows hand signals, and loves toys! She is fine with other dogs and great with kids. Maple is very active so we would like to place her in a home that has kids or active adults or a retired family that has a lot of time on their hands. Because Maple is deaf, we require a fenced yard for her safety. Maple's adoption fee is $275. Please apply at www.nepapet.com. She also hates the car and barks the whole time lol.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs are in foster homes where they are loved, evaluated, socialized, helped with any behavior issues, vetted and ready and waiting for their forever home.

The fist step in adopting one of our dogs is to fill out an application. Adoption fees vary but range from $200-500 which contributes to the cost of spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccinations, wellness exam, boarding, transportation and pull fees, monthly heartworm, flea/tick prevention, food, treats, toys as well as daily socialization and activities, along with some basic training. Occasionally a dog in our care requires additional and often expensive medical care and/or professional training. Donations are always welcome! Each dog normally costs us way more money than the adoption fees cover, but we are here to help dogs and that is what we do!

Vet references, personal references are checked and a home visit is done prior to adoption.

Go meet their pets

We have many adoption events throughout the month. We also do meet and greets for approved applicants.

More about this rescue

NEPA Pet Fund & Rescue is exactly that! We are a group of volunteers dedicated to helping people in Northeast PA pay for their dogs and cats to be spayed/neutered. We will also provide rescue of dogs when we have available foster homes.
