My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LASZLO; 3 YEAR OLD CORGI MIX; 20 LBS BONDED PAIR WITH CASSIDY
Laszlo is our miracle boy! He lived for an entire year as a stray at Morgan County Fairgrounds until he was finally trapped by animal control; he was totally feral when we got him so were unable to handle or touch him. It has taken 1 1/2 years but Laszlo is ready for his Forever Home now that he has his best girl, Cassidy, to go with him as she shows him that people and situations are safe. Laszlo has learned that getting ear massages & back scratches are the cat's meow and prefers those to treats .... although he won't say no to a "goodie"! He still is tentative with new people so will need patient, sensitive parents to help continue in his rehabilitation. However, when it comes to play time with Cassidy, it's a "no hold's barred" situation! These two are hysterical as they do zoomies together, wrestle & tug with toys! A fenced in yard is a must so they can have plenty of room to exercise! No children under 16 years of age as Laszlo needs a calm household setting in which he can feel no pressure. The adoption fee for the pair is $400; both are fixed, microchipped and current on heartworm / flea preventative. Applications are available at waldosmuttleycrew.org .

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees generally range from $100-$250. We require completion of an application after which we proceed with a verbal interview, make personal and veterinary reference checks, then conduct a home visit to verify that the home is pet-friendly and safe. Upon approval of an application, we require the signing of an adoption agreement contract which specifies that appropriate care will be taken of the animal in question as well as requiring return of the pet to the organization if the adopters are unable to keep it at some point in the future.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application. You can find that application on our website -- www.waldosmuttleycrew.org -- click on "Applications", then "Adoption Application". This is no way obligates you to adopt, but it helps to determine if a particular rescue would be a good fit for your family.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people who, first and foremost, love animals and want to assist dogs & cats in need. We attempt to educate people concerning appropriate pet care as well as the importance of spay/neuter in order to address the severe over-population of these animals in the U.S.
Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative.

E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application.

All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. If the dog had additional medical issues, those have also been addressed. Visit our website www.waldosmuttleycrew.org for more information and to complete an application.
