My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET FLUFFER JOHN (FJ) AND SCOOTER!

This sweet pair of bonded brothers suddenly lost their owner in January of 2022. Luckily, they were able to bypass the shelter-system and joined City of Elderly Love via foster care instead. They are around 14 years old though you'd never know it! Now that we've gotten to know them individually, they're looking for the perfect home where they can continue to spend their golden years TOGETHER!

Scooter has a beautiful white and buff short coat while his brother FJ has a stunning medium-length coat. Both boys love people and attention. They're little purr machines and it's easy to know how happy they are. Scooter prefers to sit near his human friends while FJ prefers to sit ON them. FJ will even drool a little when he's super happy and relaxed, but not in a gross way - in an endearing adorable way. They are currently living in foster care with another cat and are pretty comfortable with him. They're also living with dogs who they're more apprehensive around but we think they could happily live with a low-key cat-friendly dog who wouldn't bug them too much after an appropriate introduction. Scooter and FJ are wonderful around children and are easy-going low-maintenance houseguests who have no issues using their litter box.

Both boys are very healthy for senior cats! FJ had hyperthyroidism when he came to the rescue but we learned that he was a candidate for an iodine treatment which he received and made it so that his thyroid was no longer overproducing the hormone and does not require him to receive any medications!

Scooter and FJ are available for adoption through City of Elderly Love TOGETHER. Both are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. They are FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting them?
