ADOPTED ON 07-22-22 It is always a pleasure presenting for adoption those dogs that have been through the most but have excelled in rehabilitation to develop the absolute best of their breed definition. In this case it is a German shepherd female, 22-24 months, named Gretta that has exceeded all expectations. This young lady came to us malnourished, frightened, non-trusting, parasite infested and showing signs of physical abuse but with a tenacity that only a German shepherd can muster she has come flying back. Gretta is one of the friendliest, loving and devoted dogs I have had the chance to rehabilitate and train. This dog loves people, children and other dogs but is happiest when she is sitting beside you under a shade tree just watching the world go by.

We believe that Gretta will exceed 80 pounds when she is fully filled out, she is almost 70 now. This girls' symmetry is perfect, her gait is absolutely perfect and she is tall and athletic. As could be expected with is write up, our girl performed exceptionally well during our socialization and training programs. These programs revealed a strong desire to bond, an easy nature, a strong desire to train and obviously a very strong character. Our girl is a classic black and tan with a medium full coat. I can tell you as her trainer that this girl is something quite spectacular, I would never have trusted a human being again but not her, she moved on being the loving sweetheart that she is. As is usual I learned more from this girl than she ever learned from me.

OUR DOGS ARE MICRO-CHIPPED AND READY TO BE PART OF YOUR FAMILY TODAY!
These dogs deserve all of our attention, and in Rescue Dog Village Guardian, Inc A 5013c Non-Profit Organization, we are committed to our adopters and our dogs equally. We offer full disclosure and hope to make the best matches possible. Please know our adoption fees never cover our expenses. We rely on the generosity of our adopters and supporters to help us help the dogs.

Our rescue is only in the business of offering full disclosure to adopters, and expects and hopes to engage your questions and concerns fully. We owe it to the dogs we rescue and all the wonderful families/adopters who might consider welcoming our charges into their hearts and home. Our dogs are waiting for that ideal forever home where they will be cherished as deserving family members. It's sad these second chances are even necessary for these dogs, but we are committed to them and will devote the time and energy to their re-homing, and not just move them to save more dogs. We diligently and responsibly seek good matches, as we don't want to re-home the dog again. These animals have already endured more than they should have, and through no fault of their own. It behooves us to be honest and forthright, and we appreciate the same in return from applicants. It's that winning combination of reciprocal trust and respect that allows for successful placements to be made. Happy adopters translate to happy dogs, and that's our goal!
