My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Nala, which means Queen. That is what I am too. I am 12 years old and weigh 21 lbs.

Until recently I have always had one owner and have been very happy. That all changed when my owner’s health started going downhill and they could no longer care for me.

Luckily though, instead of going to a shelter, I was sent to a wonderful foster home with Schnauzer Rescue Cincinnati.

I have a big, fenced yard to roam in, five other schnauzer rescues who are about my age to play with and all of the human connection a dog could ever want. I have learned steps... big and little and even the doggie door!

My health checkup was good, didn’t even need a dental. I do have a condition called "dry eye" that requires me to have prescription drops a couple times a day. When I get to go on car trips, I feel like a Queen too. I never get tired of seeing everything in this big world.

I would like to find a forever home of my own... it’s great here; but I want to make room for another lost soul to give them a chance too. If you think I could be your next family member, please fill out an application for me.
