Flash(right) and her brother Scooter( left)
Flash will need some extra TLC and a patient owner willing to give her some more confidence and introduce her to all the new sights and sounds of this world. Flash is really affectionate and wants to be brave she just doesn't know how. Flash will stick very close to you and will not wander to far away. She will run in fear however and will need a secure yard to she cannot escape.
Flash may do well with a canine companion to show her everything is ok and already has a bond with her siblings and has no trust in humans a canine companion may show her that people are alright and nothing to fear. Flash has very short nails which is more than likely from digging or scratching, we suspect they are country or farm dogs and could be a result of her scratch in their pen their were being kept in.
Flash does not know basic commands, how to walk on a leash, what a kennel is, what in the word this cookie thing is that we keep talking about but what Flash is missing most is someone that she can trust. Flash will need someone that she can count on and depend on, she is really a great girl that has had a terrible start. If you would like to help Flash please come down and meet her she would love to get her new start as soon as possible.
These 3 came to us after being abandoned, they are scared and frightened and are getting use to their new surroundings. They will need lots of work on their socialization and they will need lots of work learning how to walking on a leash.
Zipper is the most confident of the group and is the bravest, she is eager to come to people but has no idea what a leash is. She is still scared and will try to run and hide and feels more secure in the company of her brother and sisters. She is the same size as her sister at about 20 lbs right now. These guys do not seem to know what being a pet is all about and we are tying to teach them the luxuries that come with that.
Flash the other gal is the most frightened of the bunch and will need the most work. She likes to hide under her brother and stay clear of people. Flash refuses to walk on a leash and it may take a while for her to get use to it, but she is young and we are sure with a loving family she will make a speedy turn around.
Last but not least Scooter the biggest of the bunch, poor Scooter was so scared he would pee in fear, but he is getting better and the presence of people does not make him as frightened. Scooter is the worst at walking on his leash and will whine and scream when you try and make him walk on it. We are giving them some time and patients and will work with them to help them before they go home. We are taking names so when they are ready to go home they can join their new family
