What to say about this AMAZING dog without overwhelming you with too many words.

Pongo is an approximately 2 year old neutered Cattle dog/ border collie mix that is ready for his happily ever after. He was found roaming in Oildale and ended up at Kern County Animal Service in February 2022. After waiting patiently for adoption or rescue, Pongo's luck turned around when he was selected to participate in the MST Awareness Walk. He won the hearts of the volunteers that day and finally walked out of the shelter as our Give Big Kern rescue pull.

Pongo is a dog that is ready to take on that hiking trail by your side and round up your cattle when needed. He knows basic commands and recalls wonderfully. Once you've gained this guy's trust he'll be by your side as your ride or die for the rest of his days.

Pongo gets along well with dogs of all sizes and has no issues with chickens or ducks but he's not fond of geese that take cheap shots.
