Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sage is a local girl from right here in Maine. She spent the first 2 years of her life on a chain at a breeder's house. Since coming into the rescue she has enjoyed being able to run and play in the fenced in yard at her foster placement. Sage has never lived in a home. Her foster has been working with her on house manners and walking on a leash. She states Sage is very smart and has made good progress with her training. So we are looking for an experienced dog owner that is committed to keeping up with their training. Sage and her sister Mia (they are from the same litter) have always been together and we would love to be able to place these two together. Mia is a little bigger than Sage. Mia is also a little more confident than Sage, so they do pair well together. They are up to date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. They are good children, but due to their size and energy level we are looking for a home with children 8 and up or no children. They are not good with other dogs and they are not good with cats. From Their foster: Mia and sage, Two very bonded sisters who while very different in personality share the love of play and a good wrestle together. They play for hours outside with what seems to be a very happy smile In their kennel they are extremely quiet and generally only bark when it seems necessary (even though they miss nothing) They are both highly in tuned and do best with high praise and positive reinforcement. Mia constantly looks to please and never goes far from my side. Sage is more of an outward thinker so you need to stay ahead of her to keep her focused. But is extremely proud when she has mastered your approval. Both, love long walks or a hike and do extremely well on a leash separately but,are working on mastering walking together- they can get a little silly. Both, have overcome the fear of riding and have learned to enjoy it very much and that the tube at the bank is not alien invasion but the deliverer of cookies Both are kind to all humans but, Mia is wary of strangers though she warms up quickly. I don't believe sage has ever met a stranger and gets a little over excited with her greetings and is often disappointed when company leaves. However the only fault I have found is they do not do well with Anything small and furry, unfortunately I am unable to invite them into my living space because of this..otherwise they would be keepers no doubt. I'v e very much enjoyed our time together and have learned so much from them. But they deserve a home where they can be a part of the whole family ..if your looking for two fun loving smart playful lovable trainable companions these two will amaze you. In my opinion Mia and sage are two diamonds and the rough and will blossom in the right home If you are interested in adoption, please fill out an application on our website at fairytails-rescue.weebly.com A home visit and vet reference is required.
