Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Daisey! This sweet girl has been through so much in her short life. We think she is young, maybe 1-3 years old, and only 35 pounds. She probably has some Staffordshire terrier and lab as well as super mutt mixed in her. Daisey is a kind and gentle soul. She will allow love and pets, is not fazed by other animals, is gentle with children and has come a long way with leash manners. Sadly, it seems she may not have had the best past with human interaction. She sticks true to the den animal instincts that many dogs can be known for. She prefers her own quiet space so that she can curl up comfortably and feel safe and relaxed. She is not one for running with the other dogs or playing catch with a child, but she definitely does not mind having either around. Daisey is looking for a family that understands she will need lots of time to acclimate to a new environment before she starts to come out of her shell. Daisey came from a local shelter just days after she had a litter of 12 puppies! She was young, terrified and seemingly a first-time mom. She and her puppies were in very poor health. After medicine, time and love they were all nursed back to health. Now that she has had time to learn what kindness from a human looks like, and all of her puppies have been adopted, Daisey is ready for her forever.
Interested in becoming a forever home for Daisey? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application.
Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws.
We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Daisey.
We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Daisey the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us.
For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.
Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Friends with Four Paws is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization formed to rescue animals in Oklahoma from imminent death by having mobile adoption locations and providing foster care for dogs and cats. Founded in 1998, we have matched thousands of dogs and cats with their perfect, forever homes, where they otherwise would have been sent to the Rainbow Bridge.
Our program has drastically changed throughout time, as many do. We get our animals from local municipal shelters and from the general public. Once they are in our program, they go to a foster for several weeks, get all of their veterinary work done, and are listed for adoption.
Our transport program allows us to move dogs through our system fairly quickly, which means we are able to save many lives. We LOVE our adopters, fosters and volunteers and would not be able to make the difference we make without them.
