If you happen to have read my first bio, forget everything it said..... it was written by those crazy humans.... and boy did they have me all wrong. First of all, my name was Taco Belle, I think someone may have mistaken me for a chichiwawa... lol
I now have a more fitting name... Sassy... or Sassy pants as my foster Mom refers to me as. Okay, here is my story and I'm sticking to it.....
I had been very spoiled at one point in my life, I was allowed to do as I pleased and even to dominate my humans. When things don't go my way, I voice my opinion with growls and grumbles.....
If my humans pay attention to other furkids, I run get a toy and shake it as hard as I can, if I am really unhappy about it I grumble while I shake it. Humans laugh at me.... but I am seriously upset! I do this as well when I am told that I did something bad.... and even when I am told NO..... and please, ME, go outside in the cold to go potty....
You will have to pick me up and take me out there. But when you put me down, you best believe that I will have my say about it. I will grumble and growl and then go potty..... but when I get back in the house, I will find my toy and shake it really hard!
I don't know what their problem is, I only shake my toys not their things...... but they tell me that this is not normal behavior. Well it is for me...
I have done it all my life and now they want me to change over night. Not going to happen..... They laugh at me when I do this and then say that I need anger management classes. Well, I don't know what they are talking about..... but they say that I am going to meet with a behaviorist and they are going to try to make things better.... better for whom I ask..... hehe..... they laugh at me but they don't want me to do it anymore. Go figure humans!!
I need to be an only furkid.... actually, I just need to be the only kid. I need someone that is going to let me do anything I want..... OKAY Sassy.... that's enough......
Sassy is right, she does need to be an only child.... but she needs a home where she will have a loving firm voice to correct her (not acceptable) behavior. She will need an experienced minpin owner that is willing to take the time to work with her. She can be very loving and easy to care for, but she does have her moments. If given an inch on her behavior she will take a mile..... We have fallen in love with her and her antics.... but she will enjoy life much more as an only child. She is funny and so very smart.... you will have to stay on step ahead of her...... she is not destructive.... just very spoiled. She is used to being the boss, she does not accept anyone trying to take that role away from her, but that is exactly what she needs. We are working on getting a behaviorist to work with her. But even then she is still going to need reinforcement on what she learns.
She is a sweet cuddly lil 6 lbs of love...... but only when she wishes to be. She is not a bad girl, she has just learned and implements bad behavior. If you have the experience and are up for a challenge :-) Please email me at rose@rescueminpins.com
