Babybel is a very sweet gal who came from a horrible situation. She was one of 30 dogs confiscated in a hoarding house. She warms up but is extremely shy and cautious. She doesn't mind being picked up and will curl up in your lap if invited. She appreciates when you go slow. She has never tried to bite. She was used to being invisible so all the attention is a bit overwhelming. She is learning that it's nice to have affection.
Energy Level? Chill
House trained? Working it. Will use potty pads in her xpen
Describe how they are on leash? We don't think Babybel has ever been on a walk, so for now she is enjoying her rides in the doggie stroller.
Describe how they are with other dogs? Great with dogs big and some
Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? no reaction to the resident cat
Commands they know? She will come to you when you sweet talk her and she goes to her bed. Babybel doesn't know any commands.
What are their favorite things? Curling up in her bed or on your lap.
What do they need to work on? Building confidence and trust
How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone? Babybel will sleep when we are gone. She has been left up to 6 hours and did fine in her pen with a potty pad.
Where do they sleep? Currently in an xpen on her dog bed.
What is their ideal home? Babybel would do great in a home with another dog. She will need a very patient home that helps her to continue to come out of her shell and trust. She is very submissive and will tinkle when nervous. She needs a home and a special people that understand she had a rough start and may not do regular dog stuff like long walks or playing fetch. Babybel needs a quiet low key home where she can blossom.
