My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!**

Name: Drizzle
Breed: Australian Cattle Dog
Sex/Age/Weight: female/approx bday is 4-6-2022/approx 20lbs
Vetting: Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, on heartworm prevention, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped

House trained/Crate Trained: Working on it

Dogs/Cats/Children: I am good with all cats, dogs, and humans, even the tiny ones!

Energy Level: High energy -- I'm still a young puppy and have considerable energy to burn!

Before FAR: Brought into the rescue with her mother and the "April Showers" litter. She has been in the rescue and cared for humans since birth, so she is a well socialized and happy puppy.

Working on: We are working on basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, come, down, and leave it.

Things I like: Bones, antlers, or anything hard to help with teething

Things I don’t like: Being alone! I would do best in a home where I am not left alone much, or there is at least another dog/puppy for me to play with when my humans are not home.

Ideal Family/Home: Drizzle would do best in a home with someone who has kids or other dogs for her to run and play with since I always want to be with someone.

Drizzle is a sweet, affectionate and even-keeled puppy. She has been socialized with people and other dogs and has proven to be a laid back, go-with-the-flow pup. Her mother is a Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) mix, Dad is unknown. Blue Heelers are active, working dogs – they are very intelligent dogs that need a LOT of mental and physical activity. They may not be the best breed for novice owners or apartment dwellers. Before applying for Drizzle, you might want to do some research on Blue Heelers to determine if she is the right dog for you. Drizzle is an active, energetic pup, and her ideal adopter would be an active family or individual who can work with her and take her out on regular outdoor activities to burn off energy. She is spayed and microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, worming, and both heartworm and flea / tick preventatives. But she is still just a baby who will need an adopter who will commit the time to house train her, teach her manners, and help her burn off her considerable energy with play. Our rescue also requires that each adopter's current pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. All animals in your household should also be spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason to keep them from being altered.

If you are interested in adopting Drizzle, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html. It is best to submit an application through a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt; however, it does put you in the queue for the puppy that you are interested in. To expedite the process, please make sure that you complete the application entirely – listing the names and phone numbers for your references (personal as well as vet and landlord, if applicable). Please contact us if you have any questions - we'd be glad to help.
